Abstract Neurogenic pulmonary edema（NPE）is an underrecognized and underdiagnosed form of pulmonary compromise that often complicates acute neurologic illness. This article aims to illustrate epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, and its influence on prognosis and treatment and NPE with acute neurogenic illness patients whether can be used as a brain－dead organ donation donor.
