Abstract Endotracheal intubation (ETI) is often necessary to achieve airway control during emergency, general anesthesia or mechanical ventilation. It is an invasive procedure that can cause airway damage to patients. These complications increase medical risks and cause more pain to patients. Long-term mechanical ventilation through endotracheal tube (ETT) can cause serious complications such as pulmonary infection and tracheal stenosis, even threaten the life of patients. Therefore, taking appropriate measures to actively prevent the risk factors of intubation technology is an importance part of reducing complications. Local drug delivery in tracheal is practical and effective method for prevention and treatment of endotracheal intubation-related complications.
