Abstract Objective To explore changes and clinical significance of plasma D-dimer in pa⁃ tients with hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS). Methods A total of 52 HFRS patients at dif⁃ ferent stages were included in our study. The immunoturbidimetry were used to detect the levels of plas⁃ ma D-dimer,respectively which were compared with platelet, serum creatinine, and those of the healthy individuals. Results The levels of D-dimer in the HFRS patients at the pyretogenesis stage were sig⁃ nificantly higher than those in the healthy individuals(P<0.01),and the levels at the diuretic stage and recovery stage were gradually declined and returned to normal. The D-dimer level in the heavy and criti⁃ cal ill patients was obviously higher than that in the light and moderate ill patients. The levels of D-di⁃ mer in the HFRS patients were significantly negative correlated to the platelet count(P<0.01)and posi⁃ tive correlate to the levels of serum creatinine(P<0.01). Conclusion The levels of D-dimer in the HFRS patients are closely related to the progression and severity of the disease. It can be concluded that the detection of plasma D-dimer in the HFRS patients can be conducive to the early diagnosis, condition analysis, and prognosis.
