| The effect of retention enema with Dachengqi Decoction on blood coagulation in patients with sepsis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of retention enema with Dachengqi Decoction on blood coagulation in patients with sepsis. Methods In this study, a randomized controlled trial was conducted in 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The experimental group and the control group each had 30 cases. The experimental group was treated with Dachengqi Decoction retention enema and routine western medicine, while the control group was treated with warm water retention enema and routine western medicine treatment. The peripheral blood and vein blood were collected on the day of enrollment, on the third day and seventh day after treatment, and four items of blood coagulation (APTT, PT, TT, FIB) and D-dimer were detected. Results The experimental group of Dachengqi Decoction retention enema on the third day, seventh day of treatment, four items of blood coagulation, two D- dimer changes compared with the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). And the Dachengqi Decoction retention enema treatment showed further improved test index levels on the seventh day, compared with those on the third day. Conclusion Dachengqi Decoction and modified retention enema can effectively improve the coagulation four and D-dimer levels in patients with sepsis.
