Abstract Objective To investigate the expression changes of JAK/STAT pathway in the traumatic shock induced acute lung injury in rabbits. Methods Thirty experimental rabbits were randomly divided into control group, 0 h model group, 6 h model group, 12 h model group and 24 h model group. The serum and tissues were immediately removed from rabbits after molding. ELISA, Western blot and real-time PCR techniques were conducted to measure the expression of CC16, JAK and STAT at different time points. Result Myeloperoxidase(MPO) increased after fluid resuscitation in model group, which was lower than that in control group (P<0.05). The expression of CC16 in lung tissue increased significantly at 0 h, reduced at 6 h and 12 h and then slightly increased at 24 h(P<0.05). JAK2 and STAT3 expression also increased in model group and decreased at 6 h and 12 h (P<0.05). The expression of STAT3 reduced slightly at 24 h, but there was no statistically significant difference compared with that in control group (P>0.01).Conclusion Proteins related to JAK/STAT pathway are activated in traumatic shock-induced acute lung injury in rabbits.
