Objective To investigate the expression of siglec-E in monocytes and macrophages of RAW 264.7 in septic mice. Methods RAW 264.7 cells in logarithmic growth phase were separated into blank control group and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) group. After LPS intervention, total RNA and protein were extracted to determine the mRNA and protein expression of siglec-E in monocytes and macrophages of RAW 264.7 in septic mice by the method of RT-QPCR and Western blot, respectively.  Results Stimulation of LPS up-regulated the mRNA and protein expression of siglec-E both time-dependently and dose-dependently. Conclusion Expression of siglec-E in monocytes and macrophages in septic mice is high, and in a time-dependent and dose-dependent manner to some extent.
