Abstract Cardiac shock is a common severe illness of ICU. Although the current treatment methods have been improved, the mortality rate is still high, and it is a serious threat to the life of critical⁃ ly ill patients. With the continuous progress of science and technology, the current machinery assisted circulation therapy is widely used in clinical practice. This article intends to briefly introduce two kinds of mechanical circulatory measures, namely intra-aortic balloon pump and veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in the treatment of cardiogenic shock.
